Shine and Run is a nonpartisan nonprofit with a primary focus of building Third Places for young people in small towns and rural communities throughout West Virginia and Colorado’s western Slope.
From the Civil Right Movement to the Labor Movement, the source of change has been in everyday places where people gather to be in community.
Think: bars, churches, union halls.
By creating space for community, we are creating space for change.

Local Chapters
Shine and Run local chapters allow YOU to organize your friends and neighbors.
After forming a local chapter, we help you develop a local policy platform based on what you know to be the most important issues in your community.
Media
The Shine and Run Podcast, released weekly, allows YOU to guest host episodes.
You are able to bring 1-2 guests of your own, set the narrative, and guide the conversation.
